Giving pedestrians the first place in its use and giving it a strong identity are the major challenges of this project. The place of pedestrians is given priority and the development of the roundabout brings a new conviviality: shading, street furniture, kiosks, etc.
The project defines rings for each type of movement – pedestrians, two-wheelers, vehicles – which can be identified using dedicated materials. They are integrated in harmony with the terraces, kiosks, trees, and furniture.
At the points where the boulevards meet the roundabout, vehicles are brought closer to the level of pedestrians and then the whole roundabout is set up as a single platform.
