Biolum Reef is an eco-green inhabited reef project located off the coast of Marseille in the Calanques National Park, where the marine ecosystem is under threat.
Printed in 3D from plastic waste, it aims to encourage the spread of marine biodiversity thanks to a polyfunctional and bioluminescent artificial reef, self-sufficient in wave and solar energy.
Three semi-submerged and autonomous habitats are dedicated to collaboration with the oceans, to creation and to the sharing of knowledge in a complementarity of scientific and artistic disciplines at the service of the greatest number of people
Its eco-green and depolluting design in which waste = resources generate a positive impact on the environment. Inhabited by a multitude of species within and around it, it becomes a place for interactive underwater walks.
