As part of the development of its hotel offering, Futuroscope wants to offer visitors a new experience, by creating an unusual tourist village immersed in nature.
The project is designed to be eco-responsible, from its design to its completion, and uses a maximum of bio-sourced and unprocessed materials.
The 120 lodges built 100% in wood from a sustainable French forest are manufactured by local companies in a temporary workshop located as close as possible to the site. Particular attention is paid to the reuse of offcuts from the cladding that form the canopy of the Grand Lodge or dress the logistics islands.
Everything is done to avoid transport and reduce the carbon footprint of the project.
Each lodge is designed like a telescope turned towards nature. Each of them benefits from a particular view of the landscape.
This, arranged in micro-forests of more than 35,000 plants, is the essential element of the project. This method, designed by botanist Miyawaki, ensures a reservoir of biodiversity that grows from the first season and develops rapidly and autonomously in the medium and long term. With a large majority of local species to promote the surrounding fauna and birdlife, the plant species are also water-efficient and will no longer require maintenance once well established.
Transported to a unique location, the promise of being recharged is assured!
