The project officially got underway on Friday, October 4, with the deconstruction of the Accusano stadium stands.
The space will be transformed into a vast 15,000m² landscaped park.
This immense island of freshness will enhance everyday uses and biodiversity in the heart of the city, with more than 8,000m² of surface area dewatered and 266 trees planted.

This first phase is part of an ambitious strategy to promote sustainable mobility, with the creation of a superstructure parking lot adjoining a service hub, the greening of spaces and the calming of roadways to encourage pedestrian and cyclist movements.

Carried out by Sagep on behalf of the town of La Garde (83) and the Toulon Provence Méditerranée metropolitan area, this revitalization project aims to give new impetus to the town center, whether in economic, heritage, cultural or social terms.

Committed to a highly participatory approach, the project also aims to obtain the “Quartier Durable Méditerranéen” label, testifying to its environmental commitments.
