Built in the heart of the saltworks of the Giens Peninsula in 1848, this former working-class city steeped in history underwent many modifications between its creation and the end of maritime salt expeditions in the 1950s before being left to abandonment.
The restaurateur and hotelier Stéphane Lelièvre wishes to bring this place back to life, which is set in a breathtaking landscape and with unique light, by creating a 5* Ecolodge that enhances its incredible architectural and natural heritage.
The project is based on the fusion between the exterior and interior spaces, the harmony of local and contemporary influences, the enhancement of the patinas of time, the use of natural materials and a vegetation favoring the endemic species of the peninsula.
