This construction and development project includes a provisional state and a final state. It is organized in a dual timeframe: the Olympic phase and the Heritage phase.
The marina consists of 6 buildings with Mediterranean architecture, respectful of the environment. The buildings, on a human scale, are designed to minimize their visual impact and integrate naturally into the coastal setting of Marseille.
They use sober and durable materials, such as light raw concrete and lacquered aluminum, which dialogue with the minerality of the Marseille coastline. The facades open to the sea are protected by sunshades and shutters, reminiscent of boat sails, while allowing natural thermal regulation.
The gently sloping green roofs follow the curves of the Prado and Corniche Kennedy beaches, while providing natural thermal insulation.
The project places particular emphasis on landscaping, with extensive greening of the site. The chosen plant palette favors Mediterranean species resistant to wind and drought, which provide shade and contribute to the natural air conditioning of spaces.
