Marking the entrance to Marseille, this office building built in the 1960s by the Caisse Primaire d’Assurance Maladie has been renovated into student accommodation and a hotel.
Its remarkable facade is covered with 5,000 scales arranged at 7 different angles and positioned to symbolize the volutes and movements of air caused by the movement of the sea that can be seen in the distance. It is active, changing and dialogues with the characteristic light of Marseille that illuminates the building.
Numerous common living spaces punctuate the student residence : shared kitchen, co-working space, lounge, patios, roof top, laundry room, bicycle parking, gym … offer the best conditions for work and relaxation to students in residence.
